Cancelling Sales Orders

(Financial Controller only)

You can cancel any sales order, except those that have the æDespatchedÆ status in the Sales Orders window of æCompleteÆ.

When you cancel an order, it remains in the Sales Orders window, but it is given the status of 'Cancel'. Any stock that is currently allocated to the order becomes æFree StockÆ again.

Sage Line 50 automatically retains the details for a cancelled order until you delete it.

Sage Line 50 automatically makes the following adjustments when you cancel a sales order.

image\bullet.gifThe allocated stock level of each product on the sales order, decreases by the quantity of stock (if any) which was allocated.

image\bullet.gifThe æFree StockÆ level of each product on the sales order increases by the quantity of stock (if any) which was allocated.

When you cancel a sales order, the æAllocatedÆ status of the order in the Sales Orders window changes to Cancel.

Cancelling an order does not affect any part despatches that have already been made for a sales order.
